The Same forum boost amount ("forum boost") should consider child nodes over anything else if there is nothing in the node that is relevant because the likelihood of a child node containing a match is much greater than elsewhere.
I'm assuming if the red were in the parent node and forum boost was set at 2, they would appear at the top (though, I'm getting similar results in the child node as seen in the parent too, so I don't know what forum boost is supposed to be doing)...
